A Brief History

- The Jasper Municipal Library occupies a building, which was constructed in 1926 as the Jasper Sub/District Headquarters of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. The library located to this building in 1975 when the RCMP moved to a new larger and more modern building. The library has done extensive renovation to the interior of the building, but has tried to maintain the charm and quaintness of the original building.
